Marcella is a native of Newport, Rhode Island currently residing in Santa Barbara, CA. She is a registered nurse working in the Health Care Industry. Marcella's athletic career includes Ironman World Championship, Kona, Hawaii, LongCourse Worlds in Sweden as well as many Half & Olympic distance triathlons. She has also ran many half and full marathons. After years of racing in triathlon and road marathons she decided to focus her attention on her son Graham's athletic ambitions in water polo. Graham will begin his college career playing water polo for the University of Redlands this year.
Over the years she has organized the Santa Barbara Kids Triathlon raising funds for local charities including the Dream Foundation, Special Olympics of Southern California, the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, Teddy Bear Foundation just to name a few.
Marcella is excited to bring her skills and expertise in fundraising and bringing people together to promote Runwell and it's mission of leading a healthy lifestyle. She chose to become a Lead Ambassador because as she states ... "I'm happy to volunteer in something I believe in. Breaking down the stigmas associated with the Disease of addiction and helping to make treatment accessible to everyone is crucial. I love networking with others who are potential leaders/supporters of our cause and look forward to being an intregal part of growning the Runwell Movement."
